Vanessa Kay

Vanessa Kay is currently on maternity leave from Westlake Girls' High School where she is a music teacher. She completed a BMus(Hons) in Musicology and Conducting at the University of Auckland and a Postgraduate Diploma of Secondary Teaching at Dunedin College of Education. She is a former member of the TOWER New Zealand Youth Choir with whom she has travelled to America, Europe and Russia. During 2007/08 Vanessa travelled with her husband to the UK and taught at a local High School in London. Vanessa has been conducting the North Shore Children's Choir since it was formed in 2001 and she also conducts the North Shore Songsters and the North Shore Youth Choir. Previous choirs that Vanessa has conducted include the Southern Youth Choir and En Masse and Cantare from Westlake Girls High School.

This year Vanessa will be joined by a team of helpers to run the North Shore Songsters and well as the two other choirs in North Shore Voices.
